Equipped with leading-edge equipment and machinery, we have four strategically located workshops in Mackay and Biloela in Queensland and Newman and Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Each workshop is purpose-built to support the manufacture, fabrication, and repair of large surface mining equipment.
We have a long history of providing manufacturing and fabrication services, and our facilities support numerous resources and infrastructure clients – from large multinational businesses to new entry investors.
In addition to an extensive history in manufacturing draglines, our team has experience in constructing coal handling and preparation plants, stacker/reclaimers, conveyor systems, and ship loaders.
With a focus on delivering solutions to meet the specific requirements of clients, across our workshops we provide services for structural steel and ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including:
We have extensive experience in Dragline manufacture and erection, having erected 17 Draglines, manufactured 20 Dragline bases in the Mackay workshop and erected over 20 Dragline bases onsite (either through new installations or replacements).
The workshop located in Mackay was purpose-built 15 years ago for manufacturing dragline bases. The 3,300sqm workshop has 5x50 tonne cranes with 200-tonne lift capacity to a height of 10 metres. It has a clear floor space of 25m x 25m (625sqm) at both ends of the workshop allowing for the simultaneous manufacture of two dragline bases leaving a large unimpeded floor area to allow sections to be manufactured and aligned ready for quicker site erection.
Our Biloela Workshop is strategically located to provide an efficient service to our clients in the Bowen Basin. The 1600 sqm workshop is equipped to support all fabrication, repair and refurbishment requirements with specific capability for Dragline bucket repair works.
Our Newman facility in Western Australia supports our clients in the Pilbara region with a responsive service. The facility can provide a range of mechanical, fabrication and electrical services with the capability to carry out small to large scale new fabrication, as well as maintenance and overhauls on your assets. Additionally, our mechanical fitting/ machining shop can provide overhaul services for all types of fixed and mobile plant.
The Karratha facility has been operational since 2003 and offers a workshop and offices of 300sqm undercover, 1200sqm logistics and lay down area including fabrication and equipment overhaul, project engineering support and local procurement.
